Diana Larrea, D.O. joined Salerno Medical Associates in 2016. Her focus is on osteopathic medicine which incorporates diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions from headaches to musculoskeletal issues with a hands-on, holistic approach. She also focuses on preventive medicine, especially with the adolescent population and women’s health including pap smears. She has an interest in skin procedures, including performing incision and drainages and wound care. A graduate of Rutgers University-Douglass College, she received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at Ohio University-Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and did her residency at Rowan University-School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Larrea has received numerous awards including the Alan Z. Gartzman, D.O. Memorial Award for extraordinary dedication to Family Medicine, the Humanism in Medicine Award from Rowan University-School of Osteopathic Medicine Residency Program, and the T.O.U.C.H. Point Award (Translating Osteopathic Understanding into Community Health) from Ohio University-Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
She is a member of the American College of Family Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Osteopathic Association, and New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
She speaks Spanish, French, and is also skilled in beginner’s American Sign Language (ASL) which allows her to communicate with a variety of patients.
